We had some creative hair at Von Renner for Red Ribbon Week. The kids and parents had a lot of fun with it!
We had a lot of Super Hero's at Von Renner today. Today's theme was: be a super hero don't do drugs.
Today our Cougars had a Kindness Assembly with Brian Williams. He challenged Von Renner students to do 5,000 acts of kindness in the next 15 days. They need to: 1. Start small 2. Be brave 3. Be kind (slyly like a ninja).

Von Renner’s Spelling Bee Winner’s. Kevin Santana, Nailea Perez, Julian Leal, Mariana Hernandez, and Jenny Carrillo will be moving on to compete in the District Spelling Bee on October 29th at Von Renner. Great Job Cougars!
Red Ribbon Week starts tomorrow. We will have a daily dress up day theme. Tomorrow's is wear red.
🚒 Last Thursday was such a special treat for our Cougars and staff as we got a visit from the Newman Firefighters Association. We learned many important skills that will help keep us safe and meeting Sparky was probably the biggest highlight for the little ones. Dear Cougar families and friends, with the air getting chilly and our little Cougars starting to feel the cold, we ask that you please take a look at these lost items and see if any of them belong to your little one. This week they’re being placed in front of the cafeteria so the children can easily see them. They range from sweaters, jackets, hoodies, caps, bows, lunch bags to water bottles and this pile just seems to grow more every week. Please encourage your Cougar to pick up any item that you see belongs to them. Thank you 🐾🌟

🚨📣Today is World Day of Bullying Prevention. Today like every day we pledge to stop bullying and make our schools and society safer and better. During lunch Mr. Daniel Aguilar led a lunch time activity where students got the opportunity to pledge to stop this bad behavior when they see it happening. Students got the chance to sign our banner with a chalk hand print. By the look of our banner, I’d say everyone did the pledge! Way to go Von Renner Elementary School Cougars, you make us all so very proud! 💯🐾🥰
AR Point Club Earners for the last week. The AR point prizes are being displayed on the yellow and purple boards. Students can trade in their points for prizes at the end of each trimester.

We now have a display in the new cafeteria for our Weekly Attendance Stars. ✨ The class with the highest attendance for the month and the class with the most improved attendance will earn a party.
Mrs. Ross Class was our September Attendance Stars with the highest attendance for the month. Ms. Amarals Class had the Most improved for attendance. Both classes earned a class slime party.
