This week, Hunt Elementary hosted the annual
Spelling Bee Competition! Congratulations to all students who participated in the Spelling Bee!! The top four spellers who will represent our district at the County Spelling Bee are: Roselyn Garcia Haro, (Hunt), Diego Hernandez (Hunt), Paulina Reynoso (HBE) and Nathan Huerta (Bonita). Thank you, Mrs. Van Ruler and all staff who helped to make this event so special for our students!!

Every Wednesday we will be announcing our Student Spotlight winners. The Student Spotlights are chosen by our yard duty, and cafe staff every week. Every week, each Student Spotlight wins 5 tiger tickets!
I would like to congratulate our Student Spotlight winners for this week:
Congratulations to:
1st Grade: Jahayra Castro- Jahayra is a model student! She is a great role model for others as well. She knows the school rules and follows them every time.
3rd Grade: Kayla Reid- Kayla is always very kind. In the past few weeks, Kayla has been doing an especially great job during her recess and lunch times. Kayla always follows the rules and her kindness shines.
Our final Student Spotlight for the week is in 4th Grade. Congratulations to Nijash Garcia! Nihash is such a great helper and he has been showing great responsibility. He does such a wonderful job supporting his peers and he is a role model student in the cafe and at recess.

Reminder that Spring Break begins tomorrow, April 2nd. No school through April 9th. See everyone back on Monday, April 12th!


Spring Break Meal Kits will be distributed today, Wednesday, March 31 from 11:00am-12:00pm. 1 Kit per Child, no pre-registration necessary; first come, first served. Meal Kits can be picked up at Von Renner, Hunt, Barrington & Yolo. USDA Boxes will also be distributed Wednesday, March 31st.

NCLUSD will transition all instruction to distance learning when we return from winter break January 6, 2021 through the third quarter of the school year ending March 12, 2021.

Thank you Hunt Teachers and Families for participating in our Tigers’ Roar Drive Through! Students were excited to pick up their Tiger’s Treat prize bags that they earned. 5th graders also enjoyed picking up their radish plants! Great job students! If you haven’t stopped by, there is still time!
