Autism Acceptance Week

On Saturday, March 1st, our Bonita 5th Graders participated in Stanislaus County’s National History Day event at MJC. Students have been working on their projects since October and it really paid off. This year’s theme was: “Rights and Responsibilities”. Students picked a topic to research and connected their topic to the theme. They created a poster or podcast of their collected research and typed a process paper explaining how they created their poster/podcast and why it connects to the theme. On the day of the event, students were interviewed by the judges and projects were chosen to move on to the State level competition….and our Bobcats did GREAT! We have several groups and individual projects moving on to the State NHD in May, which will be held at CSU Sacramento. Great job, Bobcats!! We’re all so proud of your hard work!! 🙌🏻🎉

On Friday, Lisa led our assembly with the Pledge of Allegiance. Mrs. Caton’s 1st Graders presented on everything they’ve been learning. Check out the YouTube video of the students reading! We wished the 5th graders Good Luck at National History Day (March 1st) and we also celebrated February birthdays. Mrs. Caton’s class also won Bob the Bobcat for Most Spirit Wear.
