We would like to thank and show love to our “lunch legends” who serve meals to our students.
These employees come to work every day to make sure our students receive daily meals throughout the week.
If you would like to participate, please have your students make a poster/sign showing their appreciation.
The signs can be displayed by the students during meal pick up. This gesture will make our hard working “lunch legends” feel very appreciated and special!

Reminder meals will be doubled today, Thursday, April 9, 2020, because there will be no meal services tomorrow, Friday, April 10, 2020. Meals are packed and ready to go and now include breakfast, lunch and supper!

I know it's been hard staying active with this crazy weather and having no recess time, but it is so important to get your body moving around! For #TakeABreakTuesday, I want to remind you to not stay glued to your computer all day! Be active, move around.

The score was close, but there can be only one 2020 Footsteps2Brilliance Reading Madness Champion... CONGRATULATIONS MR. PAIVA'S CLASS!
The competition this year was tougher than ever, with classes putting up huge numbers of words read every week. This competition totaled 31,411,444 from the event tip off on February 24, 2020 to the final buzzer on March 5, 2020.
Thank you to all the classes who competed, you all did a great job.

Hello!
Barry is keeping up on his reading during his time at home! 😁 Thought it would be nice to share how Barry was doing during this time, boost some school spirits and spread some smiles, to share with your class!
From Barry 🦅

Campuses may be closed but our kitchens are still open! NCLUSD Nutrition Services provided 15,500 meals to children ages 1-18 from March 19, 2020 to March 31, 2020. Starting Monday, April 6, 2020 we will also be providing supper. Thank you to all of our wonderful staff who are making this possible! NCLUSD is continuing to work together to make a difference, today!

NCLUSD staff traded in their purple for blue today to show support for National Autism Awareness Day!

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day. Please show your support by wearing your BLUE!
Take a picture wearing your blue, and send it to us through Dojo. We will be creating a slideshow with all our students showing their support on World Autism Awareness Day.

Today is National Autism Awareness Day. Please watch former NCLUSD student Robbie Messer's video: This is my Quest: https://youtu.be/4xzsdHwTIPE

We have further guidance and directives from State Superintendent of Instruction Tony Thurmond and Governor Gavin Newsom to keep schools closed through the end of the current school year.

April 1, 2020 is Census Day! The Census is important because it helps to decide how much federal money our schools will get over the next ten years, and how much money our state will get for our parks, neighborhood improvements, public health, transportation, and many other programs and services. For more information on the Census go to https://2020census.gov/en.html

We have reached the 2020 Footsteps2Brilliance Reading Madness finals. Congratulations Mr. Paiva's class and Mrs. Cabotage's class! The two classes will now face off in a week long head-head read off to determine which will be crowned Champions! Good luck readers!

It was great to see members of our NCLUSD staff this morning during an extended cabinet zoom meeting. We are all still here to support our students, their families and the community we serve. By limiting the amount of time and people we interact with, we are truly working together to make a difference, today!

It's the final countdown! Congratulations to all our students who have advanced to the Final 4, we wish you all the best of luck!
